The backlash

A few letters in the months edition of Attitude about the article on orgies (that's two months in a row I've bought it!)

Some people are uncomfortable with the idea of an orgy. It's not something I struggle with - as far as I'm concerned, you can never have too much sex.

One of the letters encourages Attitude to put forward the message, 'Don't fuck around' and it's not a good idea to suggest that everyone goes to sex parties as there is no such thing as completely safe sex.
Of course, if you have alot of sex you have a greater chance of getting a sexually transmitted disease - but I take the view that if you act responsibly and have safe sex then you take a measured risk.

Since starting the orgy, I have never had an std, and I have a sexual check up every 6 months. I hope that if any of the guys who attended felt they had picked anything up here that they would tell me, but I haven't had any messages like that.

Other letters raise concerns about the willingness of guys at an orgy to have sex without a condom. I completely agree with that. I have safe sex with any guy - whether it's at the orgy, a guy I have met on gaydar, someone in a bar or a guy I'm going out with.

The message we should be concentrating on is 'Have safe sex', not 'don't have casual sex'.

I completely agree with the letter that states, 'Casual sex need not be associated with moral depravity ... As long as it's safe and consensual .... then what the bloody hell's wrong with it?'
